So... yes Keith, you have graduated to supernerd status. Congrats. And I did have a nerd moment very recently, but caught myself before it got out of hand. I was having dinner with Teresa and her mother, and we were talking about renting vs. owning real estate. I brought up the fact that Dr. Pyatt made an argument for renting by saying that one can invest the difference between rental costs and ownership costs. I started to go into everything that he said and why I disagreed, but I paused, thought a moment and finally said, "I'll just say that his model was flawed." I'm sure Teresa wanted to laugh at me.
In other news, I'm getting ready to go down to South America, where I imagine my perspective on life will continue to evolve through interaction with people from all over the world. Six weeks starting Sunday... maybe I'll actually be able to understand a conversation in Spanish by the time I get back.
South Africa was cool; I recommend Cape Town over Johannesburg if you're planning to make a trip. The beaches are sweet, and you can walk outside without the fear of being robbed at gunpoint.
I'd like to thank Keith for the prodding, and invite the rest of you bastards to join in the fun that is chronicling your current activities and plans for the immediate future.

Really fellas, just the introduction?
I thought when Alandis set up this blog it was really going to be used. Yall put up your introduction and haven't said anything since. I am sure you are all just busy people but i hope to read some interesting posts from you all. So anyway the other day i found myself in the most nerdy argument i have ever heard and in mid sentence i had an out of body experience and wanted to kick my own ass. You see a friend and i have recently taken to building computers and someone wanted a high performance gaming computer so we were arguing about some of the components. Now i never claimed to be not a nerd, but i didn't realize how deep i was until i found myself in the midst of this argument. You don't need to know all the details, but the sentence that caught me was when i said "Why the hell would we use AMDs, ATI opened up to Intel so we can find a lot more crossfire compatible boards, furthormore we can get a q6600 for $200, and who cares if we are using nvidia chipset or not!". At that moment i decided right after this i would reassert my manhood by taking out the trash, maxing out at the gym and drinking a six pack of a non-light beer. so please tell me all of you have caught yourself doing something nerdy and share, also if this wasn't as bad as i thought please let me know.
